In the store: Jazzcats Grab Bag (2023)

This grab bag contains Three Jazz LPs: Two (2) sealed albums from Gene Perla’s stellar PM Records label, and one (1) vintage album, selected at random from a collection that Egon sourced from previous Rappcats pop-up record shop.

Jazz sprung from and continuously encompasses various American musical idioms. Stone Alliance founder, bassist, and all around legend Gene Perla's PM Records label is a wonderful representation of jazz's subgenera, from funk to modal to Latin to straight ahead. He even put out a Nina Simone album on the label - he played with her for years, and Miles Davis, and Frank Sinatra, and the the list could go on and on.

When Egon and Madlib visited Perla in his Pennsylvanian home on a tour stop during the release of the Freddie Gibbs Bandana LP they found boxes of sealed albums in his basement, pulled their favorites, and shipped them to LA. That's what we're offering here - two albums by Perla's Stone Alliance band.

The two PM Records albums, while sealed, and assumed to be in NM condition, are sold as is. The same goes with the vintage LP that completes the set. There are no returns.
