Our yearly pop-up record sale with San Francisco's Groove Merchant returns for two days in November.
November 9th & 10th Groove Merchant heads southbound for the annual Record and ephemera sale. It’s going to be a super solid one. Some heavyweight offerings across the board. As per usual, supreme focus on the American Private Press, with some first time appearances for us. A great array of Soul with an emphasis on the “Sweet” and some excellent Jazz and Rock oddities. Some great sealed examples as well, with a visit to 90’s grunge and punk that if you remember, only saw small vinyl runs as first press. Strong international showing with some phenomenal German Jazz, Jamaican rarities, Japanese pressings, and a plethora of Latin in all genres. In accordance with previous sales, a solid two to three boxes of Sound Library will make it down. At least a hundred or so marked 10 and under. There will be something for everyone - from the exotic, to the unclassifiable head-scratchers, dancers, sample source fodder, both rare to common classics with a lot in between. I put together a really fun mix of styles. Then there’s the paper and ephemera. LOTS OF IT! If you have a wall that needs art rotation, some class color, unique gifts or just a plain refresh - you’re covered literally. This will be grand. I promise. Looking forward to this one.
